A story close to my heart!

In recent months, my brother was in a car accident. He was going home from work, when he was hit on the side from a car turning. He was then thrown from his motorcycle to the ground. He was not hurt too bad, but it caused him to be sent to the hospital with a broken ankle, and some muscle damage, along with his vintage Honda being totaled. With no insurance, it's hard to get back his feet. My brother has set up a go fund me account, if you could spread the word it would mean so much to my family and I. I'M BAAAACKKK! {With News}

Well, it's been over 4 months since I have written a blog post, not that I have that many followers dying to read about my life. But recent news has changed things and going back to blogging will help my family keep up with my husband and I. 

The NEWS:

(no we're not having a baby)

WE ARE MOVING.... to CALIFORNIA!

 

That's right, us Northerner's who moved to Virginia over a year ago are making a cross country trip to California, Northern California. As much as I am excited to start another chapter in our lives together (Hubby is going to A School, aka training), which means we get to explore California for FOUR MONTHS  (long enough for me & after four months, we hope to be stationed back on the East Coast!), I am terribly upset about leaving our apartment. This is the first place we called Ours, where we had our first Christmas as MR. & MRS, where we hosted our first HOLIDAY and where we made new friends that we will treasure forever.

  I knew that when marrying my husband that this home would not be our only home, we will make each apartment/ house we move into our HOME, and although we are soon to be leaving this apartment that brought us many, many happy memories, it will always have a place in our hearts as our first home.

I have been MIA for the past thirteen days or more! I have not been able to post my Cara box post. But I promise I will as soon as I get back home from vacation with the in laws. 

I have gender reveal pictures I took for my friend to show and a whole week of pictures from spending time camping in Montauk, NY. But for now, I will show you all a recap of my past week! I hope everyone had an awesome fourth of July! And thanks to all the men and women who are deployed, like my husband. ONLY a few more lonely nights!!

DIY: Bridal Shower Games

My soon-to-be sister-in-law's bridal shower in in a few weeks and since we will be going on vacation with our husband's (soon-to-be husband's) family, I needed to make these bridal shower games asap! 

So, the bridal party decided to do these two games:

I made both of these games in Microsoft Word!

For the HE SAID..SHE SAID, I used text boxes with free downloaded fonts!

And then added the lips and mustache and mason jar pictures to them.

For the Bridal Shower Bingo, I used the square image to make the boxes.

Then added text boxes and the mason jar pictures.

Since the theme is rustic/country we decided on the mason jar theme!

They are very easy to make and once I learn how to allow you guys to download these I will put them on! But, until then you can practice making them on your own!

My first Influenster VOX BOX!

I joined influenster back in April of this year, where I answered surveys and questions about products and wrote reviews about the ones I had already used! I was contacted the end of May to take a survey for the Spring Fling VoxBox, but then was qualified for the something blue voxbox! I later found out that it was for people who were attending weddings this summer. And, as you may know I have already attended one and have another this September! I was so excited, I mean who doesn't love getting free stuff in the mail! 

This is what I got:

1) Luster NOW! Instant Whitening toothpaste

2) Dr. Scholls for her ball of foot

3) Ever E-Z Eye lashes (2)

4) Precision Q-Tips (2)

5) Critical Care Aspirin to-go

I have only tried two of the products so far.

The toothpaste (which I absolutely LOVE), it has a minty flavor unlike the other whitening tooth paste that I have tried, and you can see a difference in the first brush. And also I have tried the Q-Tips, which I think would be really good if your using liquid eye liner for the upper top on your lid to get in there without smudging, but as for anything else I think a normal Q-Tip would work just as well. I am saving the Eye Lashes for either the bridal shower or my husband's homecoming (you can find the review when I use them). Also, waiting to use the Dr. Scholl's for the wedding day! My feet are going to hurt wearing boots all day in September! Lastly, the aspirin I will let my husband use because I don't really use aspirin much!!
