About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Alison Walton. I am a twenty-two year old that is happily married to the man of my dreams, who happens to be in the United States Coast Guard. We are currently living in Virginia.

Here's my story:
I met my husband online actually, through a website called Tumblr. He was friends with my cousin, so I knew who he was. Later, he ended up adding me on facebook and the first thing he messaged me was, "I'm going to marry you." Usually when a guy you've never met tells you this you kinda get creeped out, but oddly I wasn't! Keep in mind he was 17 and I was 19, almost 20. A couple days later I drove to actually meet him in person (we lived an hour away from each other.) We hit it off and started dating December 19, 2010. After dating for a year my husband was ready and left for USCG bootcamp, for two months. With nothing but letters.

The picture on the left is from his going away party and the one on his right was from when he has off base liberty and his parents & I drove three hours to see him after 6 weeks! Well, on April 3 2012, while working I get a phone call. From my then boyfriend at bootcamp. He asked me to be his wife and marry him.. in FIFTEEN DAYS!! Well that didn't go over well with our parents, especially his. Well eventually almost everyone got on board and we married the day after he graduated. April, 21, 2012. We had a small courthouse ceremony with our parents, his grandparents, his brothers and my best friend.

Picture left was from his graduation and picture right is from our "wedding."
So, now here we are starting our adventure, almost coming to the closing of our one year anniversary! Currently, stationed on a cutter(boat) out of Portsmouth, VA.

Thanks for reading!
