Our Disney World & Universal Trip!!

I've been MIA for the past seven days because my husband and I have been in Orlando Florida!! Where we celebrated our first year of marriage at Disney World and Universal Resorts! It was so much fun! So much fun that we didn't want to leave!! Here is our trip in pictures.

Here are a few pictures of our trip!
Monday we spend the day at Island's of Adventure...Harry Potter World! I have been waiting to go forever! Tuesday, we went to Animal Kingdom in the morning and at night we went to Epcot! It was extremely fun to walk around and see all the cool "countries" and attractions. Wednesday, we went to Universal Studios! My husband went on Fear Factor Live and actually won the whole thing! It was pretty exciting to watch it all! Thursday, we spend the day at Magic Kingdom and Downtown Disney at night! It was so different being adult and actually visiting! Since the last time I was only 5 years old! It was so different! But I think I liked the fact that I am actually able to remember everything now. And for our last day we spent it at Hollywood Studios. It was actually quite cool to see all the movie rides and meet "Minnie Mouse!" Saturday we flew home, it was very sad to leave! We went from 95 degree weather to 65! Ugh!! We are already wanting to go back, but not for a while!

If you plan on going, I suggest PLEASE PLAN A LOT IN ADVANCE. My husband and I planned our whole trip in NINE days! HA! Yeah that was a mistake, but being military we got some good deals on tickets. So if you are military make sure to check out your MWR office.

Hope everyone had a great week!!
This weekend coming up we are going home for my bestfriends wedding.
Pictures to come!!

What A Week!

So much has happened since I last posted. There has been nothing really for me to post. Since our Disney trip, my husband and I are really trying NOT to spend money, but its not going THAT well. Anyway, our week started off terrible!
My husband's AND my car bother got broken into. Along with another car in our community and another one the following night. We don't know how they got in but luckily nothing was taken, I mean there was nothing for them to take. I thankfully had taken my GPS inside that night!! The police and forensics came to take fingerprints. But there was way too much pollen on the cars! It is a terrible feeling to live in a gated community and feel like you're no longer safe.

Monday the hubby and I brought new suite cases for our trip!
(See no spending money) ha!

Then the Tragedy from the Boston Marathon and the Devastation from the fire/explosion of West Texas happens. Its been a sad week for America. All we can do is pray for the families and survivors. And pray that they catch the second suspect.

This makes me all even more nervous to fly on a plane, it being my first time and all. Our plane is flying up to DC from Norfolk and were stuck there for two hours!!! I am so nervous! I just can't wait to be done with the flying. And hopefully safe in Florida.

I hope that everyone is staying safe out there! My father in law is a Chief Of Police for his town and said stay away from trash cans or large groups of people. And I thought I was going to the happiest place on EARTH!!

Hope everyone had a good week!!

DISNEY TRIP!!!

So my husband decided about ten days ago that we were going to DISNEY WORLD for our ONE year wedding anniversary/ honeymoon! Well so for about ten days we have searched for the best deals on tickets and flights/hotels! We found a few deals! If you are military PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to the MWR office for the Disney tickets. My husband got a free 3-day pass to Universal!! We saved at least $500 on tickets!!

7 days and 6 nights! I can not truly contain my excitement to go! I have not gone to Disney since I was FIVE years old! I have never flown, so I am ever more super nervous! I can't wait to post pictures and tell you all about the trip!!
Count down = One week!

As, for my week, here is it in review!
It has been so beautiful here lately! In the 90's some days (I can only imagine what it'll be like in Florida!) One night we spent it on our patio, with our tiki torches and the solar lights... just enjoying the warm weather. Then on Wednesday, the hubs had a few of his friends over for a BBQ and a little fun on the slip and slide. On Thursday, we went shopping for a FEW things for our trip! I recieved this necklace Thursday night from my cousin! HOW CUTE!! And Friday (yes, yesterday), we bought our tickets for Disney, booked a flight and a hotel! Now for the next week we will be not spending any money! Except for tonight, were going to a baseball game in Norfolk. (only $20 for the two of us). Its been a hectic week, and now my hubby starts his vacation and leave.
Hope everyone had a good week!!

Weekend Surprise Trip Home!

This weekend the Hubby and I decided that it would be a great idea to drive back home and surprise our parents! We were supposed to go home for his grandma's Easter Party but we found out that the hubs had duty and we cancelled our plans. But, later the duty days got switched and we were able to come back home! We just forgot to mention it to our families. :D

After 6 and a half long hours of driving we were finally at my parents house. I told my mom earlier that day that we were driving to a friends house to get my oil change done. I told her I would call her when we got home. I called around 5pm, but she had fallen asleep. So we got to my house at about 8pm, I drove up with no lights on and called my mom while I was in the car. As we were walking out of the car and up the steps, I was asking her what she was doing and she asked the same. When I didn't respond she was like "hello, hello" and I popped around the corner and was like, "HELLO." She was so surprised!!
The next day we surprised his family by just walking into the Easter party! Every one was so happy and shocked that we were there! I am pretty sure his mom cried! I didn't get much pictures from the party but it sure was a blast!
It was good being back home, since we haven't been there since Christmas! I got to see my animals, and my cat shirley. But now that we are back to Virignia, its so nice to be here with the 78 degree weather! Can't complain!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
We might be going to Disney World
for our one year wedding anniversary!!
I can't wait!!

DIY: French Toast Bake

I've been eying this recipe on pinterest for quite some time now. I wanted to make it and never actually had the occasion to make it. Although you really don't need an occasion to make food, I just didn't have enough people to make it for. So, for Easter I decided to try this recipe for breakfast since it looked super easy! And it was!

Unfortunately, I only got two pictures.
What you need:
1/4 cup melted butter
2 cans (12.4 oz each) Pillsbury® refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
5 eggs
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup maple syrup
Icing from cinnamon rolls

Directions:
1. Heat oven at 375
2. Melt butter and pour on ungreased 13×9 inch glass dish.
3. Separate cans of dough into 16 rolls reserving the icing for later use.
4. Cut each roll into 8 pieces and add to buttered baking dish.
(I placed them nicely, all touching and none on top of each other.)
5. Beat eggs in medium bowl.
6. Add cream, cinnamon and vanilla and beat until well blended.
7. Pour over cut pieces of cinnamon roll pieces.
8. Drizzle 3/4 cup syrup over the top.
9. Bake 20 to 28 minutes or until golden brown.
(I baked it for 20 minutes)
10. Cool 15 minutes.
11. Place icing on top.

Can serve with more syrup if needed!
I altered recipe for my liking, but recipe was found here.
It was super delicious! And is something I would recommend to make, even for a regular morning.

What's your favorite breakfast recipe??
Enjoy!

The In Laws Visit

Last week my mother in law, father in law and brother in law came down from New York to watch Conner's boat pull in the second time. They got here Thursday and left Monday morning. We had a fun time with them here! Friday we went to a Hibachi place in Virginia Beach, which ended up being a Chinese buffet too! (Even though I can't eat Chinese food.) Then we showed them the Mac Arthur Center (mall) in Norfolk. Walked around for a while and then went home. Conner had duty on Friday so he gave all of us an hour tour of the boat. His parent's loved it.

My husband says I look Amish
Hansdsome Husband telling us about the boat.

The Bridge of the boat where they steer and drive!
After touring the boat, we had to leave my husband and I took them to the Coast Guard Exchange near my house. Looked around and showed them how big it was. Went home and beat his dad and brother in crazy eight's! Woke up to the hubby coming home, and left for Williamsburg.

We started in colonial Williamsburg, walking the streets and seeing the cobble stone road, old houses, and horse and carriage buggy's. They also had a "band" marching down the road. It was very cool to see all the old buildings and the people dressed up in old clothing. Later we went to downtown, had pizza and walked the shops! We went home with three candy caramel apples.

It was nice having family down for a visit and here for the holiday!

Hope everyone had a good weekend!
